Desde una aplicación web con spring quiero enviar correos electrónicos, y lo quiero hacer de forma asíncrona.

Para ello quiero utilizar la anotación @Async de spring.

Esta es la configuración que tengo: servlet-context.xml

Pues no se que tengo mal configurado pero no ejecuta los métodos de enviar emails de forma asíncrona.

¿Que estoy haciendo mal?

Hola puedes revisar la implementación de , necesitas implementar AsyncConfigurer y anotar tu aplicacion spring con @EnableAsync

La anotacion @EnableAsync modifica la habilidad para que spring sea capaz de ejecutar metodos de forma asincroniza @Async methods, en background utilizando un thread pool, en este ejemplo se implementa la interfaz AsyncConfigurer o puedes extender la clase AsyncConfigurerSupport que ya implementa dicha interfaz.

Pasos :

  • Proporciona un Bean de configuración EJM
  • Habilita Async config en tu spring proporcionando un objeto de configuración con las siguientes anotaciones :
