Capturar excepciones de hibernate

Question

estoy haciendo un insert de datos con JPA y Hibernate, si los datos bienen correctos no tengo ningun problema, sin embargo si recibo datos errados me genera una excepción (y asi debe ser), el problema es que la excepcion que se permite capturar es EJBtransactionRolledBackExection

Mi pregunta concreta es, ¿Como puedo hacer para capturar la excepción de PersistenceException, ConstraintViolationException o la de SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException? preferible la última ya que es la desencadena el resto.

Puedes generar una clase que herede de ResponseEntityExceptionHandler y anotada con @ControllerAdvice y dentro métodos indicando qué tipo de excepciones quieres capturar con @ExceptionHandler

Esta clase va a capturar las excepciones que le hayas especificado dentro de @ExceptionHandler, si quieres capturar todas las excepciones entonces solo escribe Exception.class: @ExceptionHandler(Exception.class)

Si quieres específicar de qué paquetes quieres capturar las excepciones puedes definirlas en @ControllerAdvice(basePackages = "{com.example.controller}")
