Mapped Diagnostic Context (MDC) con el logger SLF4J en jboss/wildfly 10 se borra

Question

Configuré mi aplicación web para usar un MDC de esta manera:

    MDC.put("cliente", "TEST");
    org.slf4j.MDC.put("cliente2", "TEST2");

Dentro de la clase de inicio para el servicio REST javax.ws.rs.core.Application

¿Por qué el MDC que inicialicé se borra? ¿Es necesario que lo declare en algún otro lugar?

Establezca el valor MDC en la implementación real del método RS - establezca el valor al principio y elimine el valor al final del método.

También puede escribir un Interceptor para que pueda manejar fácilmente todas las llamadas RS:
